Safe EXIM is a digital signature based solution comprising:

Safe EXIM Digital Certificate

A Digital Certificate is required to digitally sign any document in electronic format or for transactions being performed through a web-browser.

With safe EXIM Certificate you can apply for licenses electronically with the DGFT and digitally sign your online license application using your Safe EXIM certificate.

A digital signature associates the data and the action with the person signing it and any subsequent changes to the data can be detected. It is a more secure way of transacting online than a user id password based system.

Along with the license application form that is completedonline, DGFT also requires some corresponding documents to be submitted.  Currently these documents are couriered to DGFT in physical form. If you create your documents electronically (for eg. Using MS Word) then the same can be directly signed digitally using SafeDoXX for Safe EXIM and then uploaded on DGFT’s website. You need to scan and then digitally sign your documents using SafeDoXX. The same can then be uploaded directly on DGFT’s website. There would be no need to then courier your documents to DGFT.

USB Token

For security reasons, your Safe EXIM Digital Certificate should be stored on a hardware device, such as a Cryptographic USB Token. These tokens store your Digital Certificate securely and ensures that nobody else has access to your private key except you. These tokens are also portable, so when you have completed your signing operations, you can remove and store your token in a secure place.
